Iran :"An Attack on Syria will be deemed an attack on Iran"

“To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West - know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.”

― Barack Obama

So , a Syrian invasion by Obama and Bibi, would be considered an expression of mutual respect?

Iran talks incessant shit.

Syria and Iran refuse to use petrodollars.

The reason Bush invaded Iraq is because Saddam was using Eurodollars instead of Clark comments on the limited media coverage on page 31 of his book:

“CNN ran a very short article on its website on October 30, 2000, but after this one-day news cycle, the issue of Iraq’s switch to a petroeuro essentially disappeared from all five of the corporate-owned media outlets.”

By 2002, Saddam had fully converted to a petroeuro – in essence, dumping the dollar.
On March 19, 2003, George W. Bush announced the commencement of a full scale invasion of Iraq.

Syria and Iran threaten retaliation against Israel
January 31, 2013 — Syria and Iran have threatened to retaliate for an Israeli air raid near the capital Damascus.
Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul-Karim Ali says Damascus has "the option and the surprise to retaliate." He said he cannot predict when the retaliation will be, saying it is up to relevant authorities to prepare for it.

In Iran, the semi-official Fars news agency quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian on Thursday as saying the raid on Syria will have significant implications for the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

U.S. officials said Israel launched a rare airstrike inside Syria on Wednesday, targeting a convoy believed to contain anti-aircraft weapons bound for Hezbollah. The Syrian military denied the existence of any such shipment and said a scientific research facility outside Damascus was hit.

Syria threatens to retaliate for Israeli airstrike
Jan 31,`13 -- Syria threatened Thursday to retaliate for an Israeli airstrike and its ally Iran said there will be repercussions for the Jewish state over the attack.
U.S. officials said Israel launched a rare airstrike inside Syria on Wednesday. The target was a convoy believed to be carrying anti-aircraft weapons bound for Hezbollah, the powerful Lebanese militant group allied with Syria and Iran. Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul-Karim Ali said Damascus "has the option and the capacity to surprise in retaliation." In Iran, the semi-official Fars news agency quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian as saying the raid on Syria will have significant implications for Israel. Hezbollah condemned the attack as "barbaric aggression" and Syrian ally Russia said it appeared to be an unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation. In Israel, a lawmaker close to hard-line Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stopped short of confirming involvement in the strike. But he hinted that Israel could carry out similar missions in the future.

The Syrian ambassador said he could not predict when Damascus would retaliate. He told Hezbollah's al-Ahd news website that it was up to the relevant authorities to prepare the retaliation and choose the time and place. Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi condemned the airstrike on state television, calling it a clear violation of Syria's sovereignty. Iran is Syria's strongest ally in the Middle East, and has provided President Bashar Assad's government with military and political backing for years. Russia, Syria's strongest international ally, said Moscow is taking "urgent measures to clarify the situation in all its details." "If this information is confirmed, we have a case of unprovoked attacks on targets in the territory of a sovereign state, which grossly violates the U.N. Charter and is unacceptable," Russia's Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "Whatever the motives, this is not justified."

Hezbollah, closely allied with Syria and Iran, said it "expresses full solidarity with Syria's command, army and people." Hezbollah did not mention any convoy in the statement but said the strike aimed to prevent Arab and Muslim forces from developing their military capabilities. The Syrian military denied the existence of any weapons shipment and said a scientific research facility outside Damascus was hit by the Israeli warplanes. It said the target was in the area of Jamraya, northwest of Damascus and about 15 kilometers (10 miles) from the Lebanese border. Maj. Gen. Abdul-Aziz Jassem al-Shallal, who became in December one of the most senior Syrian army officers to defect, told The Associated Press by telephone from Turkey that the targeted site is a "major and well-known" center to develop weapons known as the Scientific Research Center.

Al-Shallal, who until his defection was the commander of the Military Police, said no chemical or nonconventional weapons are at the site. He added that foreign experts, including Russians and Iranians, are usually at such centers. Regional security officials said Wednesday that the targeted shipment included sophisticated Russian-made SA-17 anti-aircraft missiles, which if acquired by Hezbollah would enable the militants to shoot down Israeli jets, helicopters and surveillance drones. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.

A senior Iranian commander reportedly killed by Syrian rebels
Feb.14, 2013 | Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV says the man was killed in an attack by Syrian rebels. This is the first report of an Iranian official killed in the Syrian civil war.
A senior commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard was killed in recent days in Syria, according to media reports. Hezbollah's television channel Al-Manar reported that the man was killed in an attack by Syrian rebels. Additional information was not provided. This is the first time a death of an Iranian official in Syria is reported. In several incidents in the past, some mid-level Hezbollah officials were killed in the Syrian civil war.

Syria is receiving extended military and intelligence assistance from Iran and Hezbollah as part of the effort to keep Assad in power. Al-Manar did not disclose the name of the Iranian official and only described him as the head of an Iranian agency responsible for "rebuilding Lebanon." According to the report, the incident occurred on Syrian soil when the Iranian official was on his way back from Damascus to Lebanon.

An Iranian independent news website - mashreghnews.ir - reported earlier that the name of the Iranian official was Gen. Hassan Shateri, a commander in the Guard's Quds Force. The report said the attack was carried out by "mercenaries of the Zionist regime," however the credibility of the report is unclear. The report added that Gen. Ghasem Soleimani, the head of the Guard's Quds Force, visited Shateri's family to express his condolences. The website did not provide additional details about his death.

The Quds Force is Iran's main organization dealing with international terrorist activity with the cooperation of several different terrorist organizations which are backed by Iran. In the past, Israeli intelligence officials described Soleimani as the central figure in Iran's terrorist network. However, the report saying Syrian rebels are behind the attack seems a more reasonable explanation for the incident, especially when it comes from an official source such as Hezbollah.
