Intro

That makes sense, but where do I enter my introduction. When I go to post your introduction it seems like I have to create a thread.

If you look at the forums list, there is an introduce yourself forum, you post there just like you did here.

Where and when did you serve? I am also a Navy vet.
My service years were from 1966 to 1972. My rating at the time was Communications Technician Maintenance, CTM. It was basically electronic surveillance of Soviet ships and aircraft movements. We wanted to know where those assets were at all times.

I was first assigned to Naval Comm Station, Imperial Beach CA, then Guam avel Comm station, and lastly USAF Station Brindisi Italy

So you were a sand crab instead of a real sailor! J/K

I was a nuke ET but before I got to nuke school, I went NROTC and got my commission. I was a SWO for a little over 10 years as zero. Left during the "peace Dividend and stayed 7 more years in the IRR. Later worked one year for DoD as a teacher and 4 more for the Army as a civilian. I now volunteer at an Army Museum near Fort Campbell KY for the 101st AB, 160th SOAR, and 5th SFG.

I served in the Navy as well as you did. And, any member of the Navy, enlisted or otherwise, is considered a sailor.

I'm glad you've achieved what you have, and I'm not asking for your respect, but I am damned proud of my service.
