OTOH, black females are the new “golden boy.” They are disproportionately hired for management roles. And they KNOW IT. I overheard a black guy tell a black woman to apply for a job she was barely qualified for. She told him she’d never get it, and he said “yes you will. You’re a black female.”

This new phenomenon to elevate black females as the be-all and end all is ridiculous. They even put up a large statue of an overweight, plainly dressed black woman in some liberal European city just…..because, she’s a black woman doncha know.

And we had a poster come up with a lie that black women “are the most educated demographic” in the country - which she picked up from some false, weird interpretation of who has made the most progress.

It’s past time to stop looking at the gender/race combo as the primary factor in who gets hired for jobs, and go strictly by qualifications and competence.

Naw. I am just not having DEI issues inflicted on me, no liberal policies in place locally, no violent crime inflicted on my or mine (though, I don't project in person, as the easiest prey, and am licensed in 30 states to not go quietly or even submit if attacked out and about or in my home. Nobody is on my case or discriminating against me for being a white male, 50 year head of family. I'm not being encroached by illegal aliens, and do take person responsibility to make sure contractor that work for do not bring illegal aliens onto my property, though I could force lower prices on some contractors, if I did. I am not overburdened by taxes. I have competent local elected officials, by in large, not ruled by party, but by common sense, and we do get rid of the crooked ones that get caught, regardless of party. So, I simply don't have much locally to complain about, and know most of what I hear and see on the internet is overblown by the far right and far left. I believe in personal responsibility and never expected the government to solve my problems or be my retribution for perceived ills.

What about the fact that when organizations prioritize hiring “diverse” employees over those who are the most qualified and competent regardless of race or gender? When, for example, an organization decides they need more female blacks, the odds are only 6% that they will end up with the best available.

The “Meet Sgt. William Carney” article telling Carney’s story remained active on the U.S. Army’s website Thursday. It says Carney was born into slavery in Virginia, but relocated to Massachusetts where he joined the Union Army’s first official Black unit in 1863.
