It's a good idea to be frugal when you're shopping but I think you're right... I think we must sacrifice nutrition in order to buy volume at this point. At least the broccoli was a good selection.

Now a good nutritious meal with a piece of steak, some fresh vegetables and a decent carbohydrate like baked potato would cost him at least 20 bucks for four people. Hell you can spend 20 bucks at McD's for almost nothing these days.

Also he was not completely wrong to call me out on portions. I tend to make portions larger than most people. I am a big person. I've trimmed down to 265.... Pretty much as far as I can go without losing muscle mass.

I probably eat more than the average person does. Still food inflation is painful regardless of how many tricks we pull at the market to get around it.
