A combination I think.....the inflation allowed some retailers to price gouge and blame it on inflation....not to forget all the shoplifing resulted in price increases also.

Too many people (dollars) chasing too few products.....That's what happens when 8 - 10 milion unwanted illegals are let into the country combined with trillions of unneeded federal spending.

Any economy is always on the precipice and the illegals and poor economic policy/spending tipped it.

"Price-gouging" is just something the "poors" and their advocates make up to cover the poor economic policy of the advocates.
