To me, a story like this is only good when the people who lost their kid(s) are still here when the missing child(s) is recovered.

^^^ Right, but people who would've been a part of her life had she not gone missing may not be here anymore now. According to the clip, her parents were the first to go because that is how the horror got started. I wonder if whoever killed them and snatched her up is still out there at all after all of these years.
