Yes, we could have stayed with coal but the scubbers to get rid of the black snow was much more expensive than the other alternatives. We have only one company actually using coal in the production and that is one small Oil Refinery. What's funny, their main source of power for electric generation is still not coal. You can't produce Petroleum products without coal. But that is a very small percentage of the overall factory production for the area.

It appears that one of the left over policies from Eisenhower's administration was finally finished in 1971 and the town daddies continued along those lines for heat. Even the oil fired heaters were replaced by the less expensive Natural Gas long before Solar and Wind were able to pick up any slack.

You know I live in the Rocky Mountains, right? Yes, our alternative energy over coal is all over the place and much cheaper. But, if you wish, we can talk out what places like NY City, Atlanta, Miami and a host of other places if you dare.

What do you know about the United States? It's like me conversing on the German energy.

Now, about the alternatives like we use here. We use almost zero coal in production at all. In the 50s, it was noted that huge hydropower was going to the best for anywhere there is a river in a valley. And there is a ton of rivers and valleys that have not been tapped. Even a small Hydro Plant can feed a medium sized city in both.

We use about 20% of our electric power to Solar and Wind. Since we have almost hit the top of the list for Hydro Power, we still need to get rid of the rest of the coal fired power plants. What's happening is, as a solar and wind project comes on line, the same amount of Coal Fired Plants are shut down. Yes, it's painful at first but much better in the long run.

Germany could learn from us since we are learning from Norway. We haven't tapped the hydro power from the ocean currents like Norway has. You don't need a huge hydro plant project to tapped the ocean. That's one of the cheapest most efficient claiming of natural power that exists yet it's virtually untapped today.

Today, the only reason not to tap into the alternative energy is because it might affect your Petroleum Products Shares.
