Let's keep this simple...

How can we as a nation support total idiots making millions of dollar's in incomes, and then negatively affecting this nation by way of the power and influence they are gaining from that income ?

When I see total idiots making upwards of 7 figures in incomes I have to ask, how is that possible today ?????
Have we lost our ability to discern between the differences in merit/professional behaviour verses pure BS ???

Look at the crazy that has taken place in this country by allowing crazy people to gain power by way of gains in income that doesn't meet the quality expectation that should be required of the individual's before receiving the gross amounts in incomes they are receiving ???

Losing our ability to use standards and the assessment of character in order to gauge whether or not a person is qualified by character (not necessarily education or skill set), but by being a type of person that is on a level in character that will be a positive influence in society, as well as in government if so chose that path in life.

Wealth has never been spread equally and never will be. We are humans after all.

True, but if the pendulum swings to far towards a group of idiots beginning to take control of the majority of wealth in a country, then what do you think that it will mean for that country ??

This Op isn't a basic income inequality issue Op, otherwise that is caused by greed or access denial to the income streams based upon discrimination, but it's about how prevalent it is today of stone cold idiots ending up with 7 figure incomes, and then causing total chaos and a threat to national security with those incomes.

Don't buy or do the things that make others rich, problem solved.
Agree that boycotts help for sure, but it has been a situation where their wealth can be also generated and accessed through government corruption, otherwise if they end up with government control or get their way of pushing officials they choose to go into government positions that will open the doors for them.

Once they gain access or control, they can knock down standards through deregulation giving them the ability to push pornography into school libraries, the mutilation of children's bodies, men into women's sports, the attack on freedom of religion in traditional church settings, and the breakdown of our borders leaving innocent Americans at risk of injury or death as a result of.

Not that i care what they make off the rubes but the first thing I thought of was not the Musk or Bezos types but the "influencers", bloggers, and other assorted thots and shysters people willingly give money to....Even criminals if you count Go Fund Me.

LOL....Remember when all that was pretty much confined to the Jim and Tammy Fay Baker types?

The way to solve that is to choke off government revenues by reducing the need for taxes. Of course, that requires that people be taught the law of unintended consequences, or the domino theory.

Exactly.... It's become an all out scamdemic today.

Where income inequality becomes a problem is when a large segment of the population can't afford the necessities of life through no fault of their own.

Yes, and the best is to only charge taxes for the realistic things that are needed, otherwise as would be voted on by the people in a free and yet FAIR election. We are in uncharted water's with the evilness that surrounds us today, but if we truly seek Christ, and ask for guidance then hopefully we aren't to far gone to receive a blessing that will reopen the eye's of the people.

Agree, but there are different types and reasons behind income inequality. This Op is focusing on the income inequality between idiots and the citizen's that are not idiots.

We have to identify the specific problem in order to get to a specific solution regarding certain types of income inequalities.

It's going to lead to a collapse.

It may already be inevitable. Right now the top 1% control more wealth than the bottom 90% combined.

And they use that wealth to get more power and wealth, to the detriment of the rest of us.

And the gap is huge.

Myself as an example, I fall slightly above the top 15% mark as an individual. That about 3 times the median income.

The top 10% get about 3 times what I do.

The top 1% gets 3 or so times that.

And the 0.1% get thousands of times what they do.

They hold more wealth than the bottom 50% combined.

Blah, if things were as bad as you make them out to be then none of the new homes they are building (all 500K+) would sell nor would people pay $2600 a month rent for a new townhome.

The ones who piss me off are people who apparently do nothing but play with play money ... hedge fund managers and people like that.
Do they make anything?
Not that I can see.
But life ain't fair. It's just aggravating that people who don't make anything are ridiculously wealthy. :dunno:

In general, not in your slum.

How would a total idiot make millions in income?

Take a hypothetical idiot, leaving politics out or using a generic political party as an example.

Total idiot is born to a middle class family. Barely passes in school, and even then only due to the low standards of public school these days. He goes to community college but flunks out.

How does he wind up making millions per year?
