The number of black families with a single mother in 2019 was 4,147,000

To the casual observer, it would appear that there are more white families without a father, than there are black families without a father, right?

But when you take into account that blacks account for only 12.3% of the US population, those numbers are seen in an entirely different perspective.

Were people offended because the black family didn't include a father
or because the black family posed for a picture representative of a black stereotype?

If these are actual family units and not individuals posing as a family for an ad,
and that family doesn't have a father/husband present in their lives
and is actually representative of their family, who gives a fuck who is offended

I have noticed, however, that in TV commercials there are almost always a father and mother in an African American family.

I have noticed furthermore that in TV commercials about home security systems, the character playing the bad man is always a Caucasian male.

No they aren't but you want them to. You seem to make the standard white racist mistake of assuming that if black and white populations were the same that you can multiply the numbers and blacks would end up with a far higher number. What you don't factor in is the societal changes that come with an equal population.

Secondly single mother just means they are not married. That does not eliminate the presence of a man either in the lives of unwed black or white women. Now if Oprah Winfrey had a child today, she would be classified as an unwed mother or a single mom. Do you think her child would struggle with poverty? Do you think that child would be poorly educated?

White Racist attempts at sociological theory always fails.
