In the last year, the ten richest men in America are 698 billion dollars richer

Trump's signature achievement in his first term was a huge tax break for billionaires. That his supporters are mainly poor white trash you can't help but get some amusement from it all.

What a shitty ass comment and attitude.

You suck.

Well shit head, I worked 56 years as a millwright. Retired from a steel mill at 76. And am enjoying a comfortable well earned retirement. The only free shit I ever got was the genetics to be active and healthy in my 80's. However, I see the homeless, I see young people working their butts off, both husband and wife, and still unable to own a home. I see fat well fed corrupt politicians insisting that a minimum wage of $7.25 is enough. And, most important, I see education, whether trades or academic, becoming increasingly out of the reach of our young people. In the meantime, we have billionaires paying a much smaller percentage of their income in taxes than do the working people. Billionaires buying $500,000,000 yachts while newly married young people wonder whether they can ever afford to have children. With both of them working.

We had a very different tax structure in the 1950's. We built huge infrastructure projects, and I never saw one millionaire missing a meal. A working husband then could afford a house and automobile, with his wife staying home and taking care of the children, not having to work just to survive. What we have now is an oligarchy in this nation. Fast approaching fascism, with an incipient secret police force in the form of ICE.

The correct number is $0

And, most important, I see education, whether trades or academic, becoming increasingly out of the reach of our young people.

Obama took over the student loan system. That didn't make education more affordable?

In the meantime, we have billionaires paying a much smaller percentage of their income in taxes than do the working people.

You're lying.

We had a very different tax structure in the 1950's.

And the rich paid a much smaller portion of total government revenues.

We built huge infrastructure projects, and I never saw one millionaire missing a meal.

We weren't wasting money on AGW bullshit. Or stifling red tape.

A working husband then could afford a house and automobile, with his wife staying home and taking care of the children,

Average houses were much smaller, we didn't have 40 million illegals driving down wages and we were the only exporters after WW2.

with an incipient secret police force in the form of ICE.

It's no secret, they're finding and deporting illegal aliens.

We really dont need billionaires. I am fine with 99% tax bracket over $1B. Can anyone name a single reason why we need them?

I can't believe you even said that.

Billionaires don't exist because YOU need them, Citygator. Does everything in life exist because you need them?

You're fine with a 99% tax bracket for billionaires. Never mind that's a pretty awful way to think, but given the history of government and how it's run today- they'd keep lowering that 99% to apply to most everyone but welfare recipients.

That'd be ok too, right?

How huge was it? Show your math.

LefTard Logic:
“We don’t need billionaires….We DO need 50 million illiterate, needy, taxpayer funded thirdworld parasites.”
I’m just saying what is the community value of $100B concentrated in one person?

I get your point. My wife always says why do we need so many multi-billionaires when the bottom half of incomes are so poor? A top tax rate of 40% and eliminating the capital gains tax break is a reasonable start.
The "Death Tax" is a more complex subject for passing inheritances on.

The fact that you have to ask such an absurd question tells us all we need to know. You collectivists are so weird, what makes you think you should have a right to even one penny of Elon Musk’s?
What does his wealth have to do with yours or your potential to earn?

You didn’t answer the question. What is valuable for anyone to have that large a concentration of people’s wealth?

Maybe there is a good answer. Just asking.

Lots of their wealth were accumulated during the shutdown. Thanks to Democrats.
Indeed. The biggest transfer of wealth in history. Because the "science" said covid didnt go into big box stores. Only mom and pop shops.
