we are all spoon fed one thing or another - and yes, our upbringing DOES affect how we believe, or how we DONT believe for that matter.

Its called the human condition.

The difference, IMO, is when a person can decifer for himself/herself what resonates as truth to them and WHY.

Im human. I screw up all the time and Ice been known to fling about some pretty nasty names at people on here. Im NOT saying Im better than anyone else. But I tell you what, of the people that I have slung those horrid names at, after a while, my curious nature got the best of me. WHY did I do that? WHAT inscenced me so much that I would do that? HOW is it they can believe as they do? WHERE did it come from? And, am I rational and humble to admit that I might not understand it - do I have the guts to contact them and ask and possibly learn something?
Yes. I do and I did.
While I still may not agree with some things, I understand from where they come now and in the process Ive gotten to know some pretty incredible people. I feel that I am a better person for it - I feel that I have learned alot. I know I still have alot to learn - and Im looking forward to it.

Just my 2 cents.
