Probably. And I agree that if he had run as a Democrat, he would be having a much easier time of it.

But the man simply is not an ideologue or a partisan for that matter. He has a vision of how things can be and belief that those things can be accomplished by simply setting goals and figuring out how to accomplish them. He actually wants to do something good for American instead of just giving that lip service while he feathers his own nest. There is no way he could accept the Democratic agenda and accomplish much of anything he (or those of us who voted for him) would see as a good thing to do.

So yeah, they hate him because he beat Hillary which pretty much everybody said at some point that he could not do. They hate to have so much egg on their faces.

And they hate him because he has an R after his name.

And they hate him because he is actually accomplishing some good things that is making the Democrats and his predecessor look more and more wrong and ineffective or destructive. Nobody likes to be shown up or made to look bad.

And the permanent political class, even the Republicans, hate him because he is shaking up the status quo that they have all enjoyed because it allows them to increase their power, prestige, influence, and personal wealth. They are terrified that they might actually be expected to do their jobs which might upset that gravy train a bit.

And they hate him because he shows their predictions of doom and gloom to be both empty and hateful.

There is much to hate him for. But God bless him that he was willing to be hated for what they hate him for, because America is being blessed because he is President.
