It's just the same as "anyone but Bush".
Unless folks have the same write in in mind, write ins never win.
And, I am of the mind that anyone [who is even somewhat viable] is better than Obama.
Does that mean I "hate" Obama, as you alluded to? No.
Does that mean I believe in fictional characters, as you alluded to? No.
Does that mean I would vote for Stalin if he were alive? No.

Does that mean that I think Obama is bad - really bad - for my country? It sure does.

I understand why this metaphor may upset some. I also understand how folks think Obama is bad for the country.
