Much of the US political machine supports Israel. This is where your way off. Because with newcomers like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswami, who are America first. They have publicly said that American text that tax payer dollars should not go to Israel. That’s what Ramaswami said. He wants Israel to do its own thing. And Israel, of course, has a right to protect itself like any other country. I do hope Palestinians get their own state. Israel unlike Ukraine is facing an opponent with sticks and stones.

Both US Democrat and Republican administrations have been in full support of Israel, latest since the Nixon administration.

And any of those countless wars that the US was involved in or kicked of since 1946 - was the result of US foreign policy. Which is determined to uphold US Global control - preferably via war and or economic control under the general pretext - to uphold democracy and thus US values. !!
US policies - especially foreign policies like in any other democratic country are NOT decided solely by a President - but via the respective Congress/Senate and it's influential lobbyists.
As such it wasn't simply Bush jun that decided to go to war with Iraq (and thus the US creating total chaos in the Middle-east) very much to the delight of many Israelis - but it was voted and decided upon by the US Congress/Senate. (Res.114)
