Once in a while, a Democrat will slip up and accidentally reveal who they really are. The Democrats have become a party of radicals.

She should be removed from congress

Then she needs to be exorcised from this country and deemed a traitor.

If Guatamale is SO awesome, WHY the **** is she in THIS country????

An elected American official who proudly claims her allegiance is to a foreign country over America should be removed.

I remember when waving ANY flag other than Old Glory or your state flag in this country was deemed traitorous.
WTF happened?

Other countries flags were only allowed at Ebassy offices.

I do not understand the flex that you care more about another country than where you live.

She may as well say, “I love my neighbor on the next block more than
my husband, but my husband provides well for me, so I am staying.”

What an intolerant thing to say. She should go be a proud Guatemalan in Guatemala.

I dont really get the pride thing about where one is from and why one must announce it.

She fits right in with the rest of the Democrats. They all seem to have a cause that trumps our constitution or the love of our country that they allegedly represent. They're money and power-hungry ingrates.

First off, she is a politician trying to garner votes. So she will say anything to gain them.

Secondly, it's acceptable for her to be proud of how she was raised and the experiences she has had. She knows all about rice, beans, guacamole, and plantain bananas. (And spanish).

You likely have some sort of affinity for your parents. (Even if they were not the best)

The politician is no different.

As a proud Latvian, I totally agree with you.

One can certainly be proud of their heritage, but to claim you are more invested in another nation than the US is absolutely ridiculous.

All these assholes have to do is move there. No one is making you stay in the US.

This ***** should move to Guatemala and help improve her home.

The article in the op is wrong and misleading...she claimed that she is an American first after she said she was a proud expatriot of Guatemala.

The headline was deliberately misleading.

And the Americans of Illinois’s 3rd congressional district were dumb enough to elect her.
