I can't understand why you obsess over this bullshit claim, increased immigration increases crime. It doesn't, for decades, DECADES, studies have consistently shown that the connection between immigration and crime is INVERSELY related. More immigrants, less crime.
Come on, what city has the smallest percentage of immigrants in the country, among major cities--Montgomery, Alabama. Homicide rate, 34.6 per 100,000. New York City, the highest percentage of immigrant population in the country, homicide rate 4.1 per 100,000.

That even holds true for undocumented immigrants. They are half as likely to be arrested for property and violent crimes as American citizens. I realize I live in a unique area with a large immigrant population, many probably undocumented. But many, also multi-generational at this point. Romanian, Hmong. Colombians go all the way back to the 70's, and yes, they were drug smugglers. Venezuela, that is where all the race teams go to when hiring their "cowboy"--all the team owners raise horses, someone has got to run the show, that is the cowboy.

But then the Hispanic agricultural work force. It is huge around here. I mean sitting right here, less than two miles north, maybe four miles east, food trucks, parked in a parking lot, Mexican street food. Maybe four miles west, Mexican restaurant, middle of nowhere, no English menu.
Nothing explains it more than the traveling worker, the migrant farmer. That is how my grandfather was raised. Around here it is tomatoes in the winter, in Mexico. Something about having to return on those special farm worker visas, like at least once a year. So, they lay the fields in during the winter in Mexico. Then, when Spring rolls around they come here, lay in the fields. This is the crew my oldest son worked on. The crew we sold the family farm to.
This is home for them. Papers, no papers, who flippin cares. The Mom stays home, raises the kids, the way it is supposed to be. I mean look at the stats, Hispanic immigrant twice as likely to be a stay at home Mom. And Pop, he makes bank. After setting the fields in during the Spring, he shoots to the mountains, it is Christmas trees. It is nasty work, spraying chemicals in hazmat suits. Huge cancer cluster in that area, Ashe county, North Carolina, beautiful country.
