Illegal guns flooding into Britain is increasing and can't be stopped...statement from Police

What is seen as a massive increase in guns for England over the last year is just short of the daily sales of guns here in the US. Their entire frightful yearly increase is seen as a slow day compared to us. We should do what they are doing.

If their policies were working why would there be an influx of illegal guns?

Police have sealed off a children's nursery in Liverpool amid reports a gunman walked into the building while youngsters were inside.

Officers were called to Childs Play Nursery in Wavertree, Merseyside, at around 8am this morning.

Wow...you are finally getting it.....you have to admit that criminals will get guns no matter what gun laws you pass, no matter how isolated your country is by water......

Law abiding people who own and carry guns do not drive the crime rate, so banning guns for them doesn't lower the gun crime rate or the violent crime rate...as Britain shows...with their increasing gun crime and increasing violent crime.

Then, in the U.S.....as more Americans actually own and actually carry guns...our gun murder rate has gone down, again, last year...our violent crime rate has gone down, again, last year.......on top of the 49% drop in gun murder over the last 25 years, the 75% drop in gun crime over the last 25 years, and the 72% drop in violent crime...

You can't explain those dramatic drops in crime as more people own guns....your theory falls apart....

there were illegal guns in this country before 1996 and there were illegal guns in this country afterwards; that was never the policy. The law came in to prevent mass shootings; this has worked; we've had one such event while you in America have had 314 in 2018 alone.

I posted 4 mass shootings that were stopped in Britain in the last few years.....compared to the 1 mass shooting every ten years you averaged in the past...that is an escalation....and the only thing that stopped them was dumb luck, not your gun control laws. There are illegal guns in your country, flooding your country, and you think that gun control has stopped the owners of those guns from walking into schools, churches, malls and theaters? If they have possession of a gun......what stops them from using it for a mass public shooting? Please, explain.

And no, we have not had 314, using that number shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

Nope..... criminals are forbidden to own guns in the first place...it isn't the law abiding gun owner who suddenly goes off the rails and commits a crime...the criminal gets an illegal gun and uses it for crime....

Why is this dump argument always made by anti gunners? It doesn't even come close to the truth of the situation but you all feel so happy when you make it.

The law doesn't stop a criminal from acting, it merely states the punishment when the law is broken. Therefore, a criminal who doesn't care about the consequences will break the law, while law abiding people who do, will obey the law.....the problem is that you guys focus the laws on people who will obey them, achieving nothing in relation to actually stopping the criminal activity. You ban and confiscate guns, so law abiding people don't own them and turn them in, because they care about being arrested and sent to jail. Criminals, who don't care and accept the risk, get illegal guns easily, so that is why the gun crime rate in Britain keeps going up even after taking guns away from law abiding people. What you need to do, what we really need to do, is lock up violent gun offenders for longer periods of time. In the U.S., our problem isn't law abiding gun owners, as our lowering gun crime rates show when more Americans own and carry guns......

Our problem is that the democrat party keeps letting violent gun criminals out of jail over and over again, and they fight to reduce the prison sentences for violent gun offences.

Japan stopped the Yakuza from using guns by putting a 10 year sentence on criminals caught with guns....and they increase that sentence when bullets are found with the gun and when more than one gun is found...so now, the penalty is so great, they don't carry guns anymore until they absolutely have to......they focus on actual criminals, not law abiding people.
