If you were OJ Simpson, you would have long since came to and been gone from here.

This is California's lethal injection chamber, circa the 1990's when OJ Simpson was on trial.

So how about if you go do what OJ Simpson did? He was a football player too... the most popular show for American dumbasses.
:)

Um, not really.

The prosecutors took the Death Penalty off the table before the trial even started.

California hasn't executed anyone since 2006, and they only executed 16 people since the Death Penalty was reinstated in 1976.

They would not have taken it off the table for you nor would the verdict have been the same... if they had lesser evidence against you.
And in fact OJ Simpson was convicted, in the Civil trial.
:)

Actually, it probably would have been, because prosecutors only seek Capital Punishment in the rarest of cases.

The vast majority of homicides are plea-bargained down.

If that's what you think then I suggest you try to put your idea to test and go do what he did.

Um, I live in Illinois.

We outlawed the DP years ago because we were exonerating more people than we were executing.
Then go run the risk of getting life in prison... how about if you try to see if they take that off the table.
Go kill somebody like OJ Simpson did.
You're not going get the last word based on semantics because I don't give a **** about semantics or your retardation.

Um, I'm not even sure what your point is here.

Did OJ get a better quality of representation because he was a rich celebrity? Of course he did.

But the main reason why he was acquitted was that the prosecution's case had so many flaws in it. Putting Fuhrman on the stand and letting him claim he never used the N-word when he was on tape using the N-word was a mistake.

So was making him put on the bloody gloves that didn't fit.

The people of LA saw an opportunity to flip the bird to the LAPD, which routinely abuses people of color.

And unfortunately, Ron and Nicole were denied justice.

#1. You're goddamn right he absolutely got better representation than you would ever get because he's a rich celebrity...
It's financially easier for him to start a new brand than it is for you to go buy a simple art kit or pay for a month's worth of gasoline or any other car fuel or pay carfare.

#2. The N word should not have mattered one iota, his guilt should have.. but money buys everything, including the racism that created the acquittal.
The cop calling OJ what he is and always was shouldn't matter.

#3. Depending on the Judge's age and the judge's attitude about life, OJ Simpson might also have more bias-in-favor from the judge too.

I am wondering if you are an American or were even alive during the trial (It's been almost 30 years!!!)

Anyway, to address your points.

Well, that is a flaw in our justice system, then, and why we shouldn't have a death penalty at all. If poor people are convicted because they are poor and rich people get off because they are rich, that is an injustice.

Still, OJ didn't get off scot-free. Despite being acquitted, his acting career vanished, and no one would touch him as a spokesperson at that point. He was down to selling memorabilia on the side to make ends meet, which is why he went to jail for assault. The system gets you eventually, if it is out to get you.

(The "robbery" Case against him was kind of bullshit, as all his accomplices who did the violence part were given plea deals and no jail time.)

Um, no. With no witnesses, this came down to the forensic evidence, and all that forensic evidence was collected or found by Mark Fuhrman. A guy who liked to collect Nazi memorabilia and whose fellow cops called him "Fuhrer-Man". So his bias was a legitimate issue to mine, and frankly, Darden and Clark fumbled that football.

Um, there's a lot to be said about how badly Lance Ito handled this trial. The guy fell in love with his press clippings. He let the trial go on too long and down too many rabbit holes.

But I also put a lot of blame on Darden and Clark, who were chosen for their gender and race, respectively, over more experienced prosecutors. They made a LOT of errors in this case. - Not vetting Fuhrman and the othe cops, and of course, the idiotic glove incident.

But at the end of the day, this was only a year after the LA Riots, and a mostly black jury decided to give a middle finger to the LAPD.

What does the cops attitude have to do with the science, if it can be recreated as much as you like and always will get the same result?
