A Perfect example.

I got banned from one board because a certain member from here that is on that board claimed I was a SOC on that board. Simply not true. Also I was told from the beginning if you did not kiss Trumps ass, you were "probably going to have problems" I did.

Over there, I followed the rules. If for some reason they did not like what you wrote, they would say you violated a rule. I would ask "which rule" and then Cletus would say "Don't do it". I got an infraction. The other moderator told me to report the infractions. When I did Cletus got mad and said I was causing problems. This is what happens when you have corrupt moderators. I have not experienced that at USMB

My only complaint is that they talk about discussing issues in private, not in public. And then, when you try, they dont respond to you.

They've gotten back to me when I questioned things.

As far as public discussion of mod actions, it's between the mod and the person, not up for discussion on the forum.

Like everyone, I've had my beefs with the Mods over the years but I have found that they will usually explain why your thread was moved. I don't always agree but when do Americans always agree? Never, that's part of our process.

If you don't like it try another board. And with SOME USMB members I WHOLEHEARTEDLY ENCOURAGE you to try another board.

I get your point Mike, I know some places are much worse, but that is a logical fallacy that just because some place is worse justifies how good your place is.

In my time, I put the high water mark in mods being Flacc, West, and Meister. All former mods now. With Kat being a close runner up.

The low water mark being Zinkwarrior, who honestly often sounds a little crazy, unhinged, and unstable.

One of the things that hurts this place are the "zones" and too many rules. I once had a mod "fix" my post because I highlighted a key phrase in red, though it violated no rule.

You know you have too many rules when after pages of rules, they say: Not all rules can be listed or explained.

Another bad idea: Scoring points against someone yet never telling them or having any way for them to see they have marks against them.

I see people getting post after post after post deleted, and they never seem to understand why their posts are being booted, keep making the same violations over and over.

Yep, I hate the message "Your post in this thread X was deleted because of xyz." I'm in 30 different threads a day and have no idea what was said in any given post in any given thread unless I can actually SEE the post again.
