You know, folks, what I think sets this place apart from most other forums like it is that there are posters here with a sense of humor. Rather than being filled with communist apparatchik ideologues who are totally consumed by their radical politics, it has its fair share of regular people who just happen to be interested in politics.

Take debatepolitics, for instance -- it acts like some bleak peek into some dystopian totalitarian future where humorless proles demand absolute conformity and openly celebrate their ability to drive off any who are just not like them. It's like being stuck in a Kafka novel there.

What this place has is VARIETY in its posters and now that the very most rigid and radical ideologue has been removed, it has improved lately. The key lies in being able to attract all people and not being filled with those who hunt down any trace of independence of mind.

Uh yes, They hated Trump supporters way way back before 2016. They Yahoo boards were full of Stain like here. Even on the sports boards they showed up. If you slipped up and insulted them or something and they knew you were pro-trump, they would try to get you banned running to moderators. They would use a gang attack. Groups of them would complain. Other teams that did not like your team would poach and taunt. Probably some of them tried to get rid of "top posters"?

I got banned once......and I complained. Yahoo moderator looked into it and restored me. Said I did not really do anything to rise to the level of banning. The BAN at the time included Email, so it was a big deal to me. Then Yahoo quit sports boards and it became non-issue. It became too much work to moderate it when other teams would attack other teams boards.

Which is as humorous as it is pathetic, really.

Now...you can look at anyone's reaction score and points. They're clickable. But you cannot click on the reaction score stats. That's obviously strategically disabled by some maude or admin. But... flac had mentioned in passing conversation in the past that they purposefully disabled the means to see your infraction points as well because they didn't want people to see their status as he thought they would teeter on the edge strategically just to not get banned. So the former is likely a maude decision as well. Admin don't give a crap. lol.

Interesting I didn't know you could see the reaction details. I just bring up the "Reaction Scoreboard" because it is presented as something to aspire to when the leaders are up there because of negative reactions and sock/team reactions.
