because they know what he's worth and his companies he owns it's part of records kept by the government. he stated it during the debates. He did a whole news conference about breaking off his business. Why do you think he had to put everything in a trust? duh don't you follow the news? what a stupid fk.
No one knows what he's worth, except his accountants. They also don't know who Trump's companies owe money to. He disclosed some of this information in order to get the Trump Hotel in Washington, but only so far as it related to the corporation undertaking the work on the renovation. Multi-millionaires insulate their holdings by having multiple private corporations so that one failure doesn't bring the entire portfolio down. Not all of Trumps holdings and/or creditors, would have been disclosed in this report.
Some years ago, American banks stopped doing business with Trump because of his history of bankruptcy. It is well know in business circles that Trump obtained money for some projects from the Saudis, and others were financed by Russian oligarchs.
Trump's businesses were NOT PUT INTO A TRUST. Control was purportedly transferred to his sons, but most of those file folders at the news conference, appeared to be empty.
I would also be interested in knowing how much Trump properties billed the federal government for the weekend visit by the Japanese Prime Minister.
