If Trump Is REALLY Interested In Combating Fraud, Then He Needs To Go After The Thousands Of Veterans Who Are Filing Fraudulent Claims With The VA

1995 and my pay was just over 2200 a month now while active you have allowances that boost your pay but none of that counts for retired pay. And now adays retirees don't get 50 percent. they get less.

I wouldn't say they "get less". They get a defined benefit of 40% at 20 years of service, but to this is added their Trift Saving Plan. If you have contributed to the TSP and with matching funds from the government, it's about break even at the end of the day. And under the TSP model, they always get to keep it even if they leave service at 10 years, 15 years, etc.

NOTE: I retired (figurative term) as a Chief in 1998 (at 38) and ya, not enough to support a wife and 2 kids on, but it definatley contributed to financial stability and flexibility.
