They need to set up regional offices and start vetting candidates in all 50 states for both the house & the senate. A "party" which only holds ONE OFFICE is doomed to failure even if they win that office. They must have influence in every branch to be truly effective. This can't just be sour grapes about the office of the Presidency.
They need field offices properly staffed. They need an early media push because we all know how that's going to go so they will need extra time to get the message out. And speaking of message they must form a legit platform with plans the American people can read rather than some simpleton slogan with a handful of "ideas" (think Newts contract) The first on that platform should be TERM LIMITS and possibly a balanced budget amendment.
To be competitive in 2024 they need to have candidates that win in the midterms that can SHOW what they are going to do with 2 years already under their belt. The candidates need to be principled people with experience under their belts and not just "party loyalists" for lack of a better term.
They also need to field several candidates for the big office not just force one person upon us. Legit primary options.
lastly Trump has to make crystal clear what his role is and what he will do in that role. We don't need a king maker. The cook, so to speak, can not also be the food critic.
I am all for the LEGITIMATE rise of a new party to break up the cabal. Constantly settling for the lesser of two evils sucks ass.
Anyhow, that is my two cents on the rumor/idea. I am open to it if it looks to be a serious well rounded plan.
