But whatever….that was the form of reparations whites gave to blacks, and if they rejected it….their choice. Many blacks took advantage of it.

I know what will happen if we get reparations; you guys guess based on your biases that are entirely not built in reality.

My view comes from the seeing how wealth was gained since the time of my grandfather's eviction notices during the Great Depression. The key was taking advantage of their education and job market opportunities. My dad returned to high school after dropping out a two year, seeing that those job opportunities he desired weren't coming about without that diploma which he received before going off to war.

I never claimed to have any idea how anybody would use a windfall of say $250,000. White or Black, my guess is that for some the money would be life changing. For others, not so much in terms of building generational wealth.

No, I experienced it first hand working in the admissions area of higher education. Two out of every three blacks admitted would have been rejected if white. The cut off for the GPA and test scores were lowered if the applicant was black or Latino.

And when did I say blacks are unqualified for college? Do you have to LIE in order to falsely paint your opponent as racist?

And you did not answer my question, Bob Dear: How it it fair to a fully-qualified white who could master the program on their own to be rejected in favor of a black who is so less qualified that he needs special tutors and remedial programs in order to squeak by?

Mean IQ of African Americans is 85. Thats not smart enough to go to college and even HS will be a struggle. Temple university tried an experiment with Phila blacks. They gave them special remedial help in 11 and 12th grade to prepare them for college. 80% flunked out of college within 2 years.
The problem stars long before school. It starts when there is no father int home the mother has to work FT and the baby doesnt get the stimulations it needs to develop.

College has never been fair.
For most of its existence, it has been reserved for the elite, whites, males, those with connections, athletes…..yes there were better qualified candidates who were passed over

In the late 40’s exceptions were made for veterans
By the 70s exceptions were made for minorities, women, the poor

Agree. At the minimum, a poor person can get a Pell Grant to pay for a two-year degree at a community college. There are plenty of career-oriented majors there.
