If not for Wilson we may well not have had FDR. Or if we did his influence would not be what is was.I can get behind that....but my bete noire is Stalin's servant, the man who gave us cultural marxism....FDR

I listed what he DID accomplish, and, clearly, both you and I voted on that basis.Even though I voted for Trump and support most of his programs the jury is out on what he will accomplish.
I think we have already reached the tipping point. To me the bellwether indicator is the nation's health. It's going from bad to worse regardless of our 'best' efforts to turn it around. RFKjr's heart is in the right place but his efforts are misplaced, imo. It's long past time to hold Americans accountable for their poor health.
I don't believe you have any worry on that score, clearly the about face will take them some time. While I agree the Democrat Party needs to return to its old fashioned and honorable roots, I hope it doesn't do so right away. We need their insanity to keep the majority of folks solidly behind Trump and his team who are reaching for the MAGA vision of liberty, choices, options, opportunity, prosperity for all.
They are still negotiating the most rocky parts of that road that won't be entirely publicly popular until the results of their efforts become evident.
For now we need that rocky road to look better than what a demented and deranged Democrat Party offers as an alternative.![]()
Since both the popular vote and electoral vote were both below average in margin historically, the Dems could quite possibly do much better by fully divorcing themselves from PC/Identity Politics bullshit and focusing like a laser beam on the middle class. If it isn't already too late.
Self-inflicted wound. There's no excuse for losing to the person who won. The Dems need to look in the mirror and get their act together. We need two strong, serious parties, and we currently have zero (0).
That's not fair: any candidate would be a better candidate.......but Soleimani is no longer available.Maybe the DNC will install a better candidate for you 2028 but I doubt it.
They got about 48% of the vote, and there are about 22% of their voters who are Bolshevik, woke, insane. I see potential there for a re-birth as an American party.
One can only hope.
Even Clinton wasn't exactly a new Democrat though. At least not in a good way. It took Newt Gingrich and his majority reformer Republicans plus Tim Penny and 30 some odd reformer Democrats working together to convince Clinton to do some really good things for America like significant welfare and tax reform. But it took several tries and presidential vetoes before Clinton agreed to go along with that.I don't believe you have any worry on that score, clearly the about face will take them some time.
Here is what the brighter Democrats know......they made hugggggge mistakes on policy....from Obama on.....(why guarantee nuclear weapons to the world's worst state sponsor of terrorism?)....
And they don't want to repeat this:
After the Carter mess, it took losses in three consecutive elections before they went to "a new Democrat," Clinton.
It may take several loses before the adults take back the party, and you can see why in the posts of Democrats in this thread.
Most of what we see in here are PAID Trolls. They're often employed directly by the DNC, the DISGUSTING FILTH or are Interns for either. the DISGUSTING FILTH, especially, doesn't like to pay interns. Both like to use Under Grad students whose minds are being poisoned by perfessers. -- (Too trusting, yes, but then women usually are) ~ Beautiful Child, Stevie NicksI see changes already.....Maher, Van Jones, the attacted on Biden by Democrats.....
Give 'em some time: they want to win elections, and they have been taught a lesson.
BTW,,,,have you noticed fewer posts/responses/attacks by the usual Democrat suspects? They're licking their wounds and don't like what has happened.
I don't believe so. Recall when Bernie was beating Hillary so they loaded "special" votes to her...? The Democrasts can't allow an admitted commie to be their flag carrier......too close to reality about the party. That's all it is...hope. AOC is the party leader now.
They pretty much announced the plan in 1965.In 2019 at a Dimocrat party debate, Biden said that should he win the presidency, there should be an immediate 'surge to the border'.
We saw the results of that invitation, and it cost the Dims dearly in this last election.
Sure, there were many factors that led to losing the White House, but the perception was that Kumalla would continue the invitation, and we would have seen millions more flood in during her four years of ruin.
If the Dims want to win the presidency, they need to make it clear to voters, that they will not announce an open-invitation again.
Democrats are Democrats.....but don't forget Clinton signed the wefare reform bill (that Obama killed)Even Clinton wasn't exactly a new Democrat though. At least not in a good way. It took Newt Gingrich and his majority reformer Republicans plus Tim Penny and 30 some odd reformer Democrats working together to convince Clinton to do some really good things for America like significant welfare and tax reform. But it took several tries and presidential vetoes before Clinton agreed to go along with that.
Clinton wanted to be loved, admired, revered more than anything else I think. If he accomplished something of lasting value, it would probably be accidental in the shadow of his desire to be popular. I think he finally decided he would get closer to his goal agreeing to that legislation than by continuing to veto it.
But the conservative Republicans and Democrats who drove those policies saved his presidency that was tanking severely, especially in the wake of Hillary's healthcare overhaul that was so bad not even the Democrats would vote for it.
I only remember one who claims he is paid to post, but he is the most prodigious liar on the board. Most of what we see in here are PAID Trolls. They're often employed directly by the DNC, the DISGUSTING FILTH or are Interns for either. the DISGUSTING FILTH, especially, doesn't like to pay interns. A couple are run of the Mill lunatics but the Hit-n-Run posters, of which there are many, are paid trolls.
I guess you could say they're licking their wounds. Their Masters, the ones that hold their leashes, are trying to form a cogent 'message' and have called off the dogs. For now. But they can unleash them in 2 minutes. As soon as they have something to bark about.
Aka the "trust but verify" club.I listed what he DID accomplish, and, clearly, both you and I voted on that basis.
But I will welcome you to the Pessimist Club.
