This report of 36% tariffs on Chinese EVs, close on the heels of another report that Canada is putting a 100% tariff on Chinese EVs as well as other less severe tariffs on Chinese goods. Indeed, I heard rumblings during the Biden admin that they were considering tariffs on China as well. Seems I remember Piglosi democrats in the US and on this board crucifying Trump for suggesting such things to level the playing field during his admin. LOL, looks like Trump was right after all.

This 36% tariff was applied to ONE Chinese manufacturer, not all of them, and it was punitive because that manufacturer failed to meet documentation requirements to legally import his products into the EU. This whole thread is a pile of shite.

I would like to point out that this thread's title,which contends that a 36% tariff is being put on Chinese EVs has been demonstrated to be false. Most Chinese EVs are NOT suffering a 36% tariff. That is a fact. There is no valid point to be discussed in this thread.
