After the prosecutor began to investigate Burisma, Burisma hired Hunter Biden, clearly in the hope that doing so would at least shield Burisma from further scrutiny and possibly in the hope that Hunter would persuade dad to pressure Ukraine to halt the investigation or fire the prosecutor.

Joe Biden himself has bragged, on video, that by threatening to withhold $1 billion in aid money (loan guarantees), he got the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor who was investigating the company that had hired his son Hunter Biden for $50K per month. Said Biden in 2018,
I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Ukraine buckled under that threat and fired the prosecutor. If that's not quid pro quo, what is?
Hunter Biden had no apparent skills that would justify sitting on the board of Burisma, much less any skills that would justify a salary of $50K per month. It is revealing that Burisma hired Hunter Biden after the prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, began to investigate the company, which of course suggests that Hunter Biden was hired in the hope that his hiring would persuade Joe Biden to demand that the prosecutor be fired and/or that Hunter would persuade his dad to do so.

That policy was never intended to include the vice president threatening to withhold aid if this or that prosecutor wasn't fired when that prosecutor was investigating what clearly appeared to be corruption. And isn't it just an amazing coincidence that Biden zeroed in on the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma? And isn't it an equally amazing coincidence that when the prosecutor began to investigate Burisma, Burisma hired Biden's loser son for the staggering salary of $50K per month?

LOL! Trump spoke with Zelensky with numerous other people on the phone, including the Ukrainian foreign minister and our own secretary of state. Furthermore, if it clearly appeared that Biden had acted corruptly to get the prosecutor fired, and that the prosecutor's reasons for investigating Burisma clearly appeared to have merit, Trump had every moral right in the world to want to see this matter investigated.
Just because you're running for president doesn't mean you get a pass to threaten foreign governments because a government prosecutor was investigating the company that suspiciously hired your son for a wholly unjustified salary just after the company became aware that it was being investigated.
