Zone1 If God were real, you wouldn’t need a book

It was Christian scientists that discovered germs.
Because they didnt take their primitive, childish faith to work.

1000s of years of peole carrying around the Bible. We discoverer scientific method and how to leave the magical horseshit out of it.

Then we discover germ theory.

You credit religion? You are dishonest and will say ANYTHING. What a waste of time.

I believe that God inspired many scientific discoveries. All part of his "revelation" to mankind.

Wow, see? You are very dishonest and will say ANYTHING. Waste of my time.
The printing press wasn't invented until 1450. It was another hundred years or so until the Reformation, which was mainly responsible for the widespread availability of the Bible. Do the math, subtract 1600 from 2026 and you get just over 400 years that the Bible has been in print for the masses.

Intellectually speaking, Meriweather is well beyond you. She is also secure enough in her beliefs and herself that she looked past your attempted insult and never felt the need to pay it back in kind.

It's your insecurity - in your beliefs and in yourself - that comes across in your disrespectful responses.
Don't make me laugh, kid. It doesn't take intelligence to believe fairytales.

The "book" is more than that. It's history, poetry, prophecy, proverbial knowledge, revelation. Quite a package.
I can be all of those things except one.

It's not history.

Christianity is the glue that holds western civilization together.

Jesus sees his faith differently:

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
I haven't seen him, show me.
