If Congress can subpoena Clinton over Epstein could they subpoena Trump too in the future?

Update: Clintons have agreed to testify.

I can see how that will go:

“Mr Clinton, what do you know”

“Nothing”

Democrats politicians, media, rioters in the streets: “good enough for me!”

Name a specific reason for them to subpoena him.

Congress cannot just demand we show up as their serfs and ask any old question they want.

There has to be a very specific reason for pulling someone in front of them.

You cannot say, They want to talk to him about his policies.

That is called a witch hunt.

Legislation intended to formalize declassification procedures, improve the Presidential Records act requirements and processes, and update Espionage criminal statues.

In other words legislative intent.

Sure he does:

"Under advice of counsel I refuse to answer under the 5th amendment."

Or Hillary's favorite: "I don't remember."

I think it's kinda silly, you get a person testifying under oath that will say nothing useful but will denigrate you and your party at every opportunity. Maybe it's merely cuz they did it to us so we're gonna do it to them to make them look bad and us look good. I think it makes 'em all look like asshats, playing politics instead of doing the nation's business.

IMHO - "Congressional Hearings" are waste of time.

Each member of the committee given 5 minutes to question for one, maybe two rounds? Most aren't even in their seats and just show up for their question period.

Then most of the 5 minutes is spent pontificating (for or against the political subject) in the form of a "question" then not allow the person to answer the question (or the person evades the question).

"Congressional Hearings" of this type are more about political theater.
