Call no man 'father' for you have one father who is in heaven

Do not make for yourselves any graven image. Do not bow down too them, nor serve them

No man has ascended into heaven, except the Son of Man, who came down from heaven

Remember the SABBATH DAY (not Sunday), to keep it holy

Who cares about silly labels. I'm RC. Frankly not my business what others do or call me.

if Catholics are not Christians, what are they then?

According to the writers/composers of the New Testimony - Jews are the founders of Christianity.

The Roman Catholic Church (RCC) then took over the Christian monopoly held by Constantinople from around 350AD to 1500AD.
After 1500 AD separations from the only one and true Christian institution (RCC) took place, and the forming of countless religious cults (especially in the USA from 1800 onward) took place.

So all who pray and believe onto the guy on the wood cross are Christians - and the Roman Catholic Church maintains it's doctrine to be the only true Church to represent Christianity. Because only they have the red telephone to God.

What makes you place such a question in the first place?

If the OP was serious, it would have defined "Christian" before its troll poll.

I don't let traditions nor dogma turn me into a judge, jury & hangman. If a person(s) tells me they believe that Jesus of Nazareth died for their sins so they could accept Jesus as the Christ & be in eternity with Him, Father & Holy Ghost(I don't know how to explain the Deity so please do not ask me to do so) what more could he/she/they do to prove they believe in the Son of Man??? I studied with six 'mainstream'(?) denominations of Christianity but I passed on the chance to study with the Catholic church due to so much bad mouthing about them. Later in life the Latin division of the Catholic church hired me as an employee. I worked for them for just short of ten years. To my surprise the Latin Catholics turned out just the opposite of all the bad propaganda I was told about them.

I am well aware of the difference between Catholic dogma/tradition & 'mainstream'(?) Christian denominational dogma/tradition. I view this world, planet, rock(?) we call "earth" just as I view the Titanic on her maiden voyage, both damaged & sinking fast. From what I have read & understood from holy scriptures I(we) are on this planet for one purpose & one purpose only, to let our fellow humanity know that there is eternity in decent to good conditions with our Maker(Deity) through our Christ(Savior). I do my best to accomplish my appointed job just as anyone would do such as Catholics & other denominations of the Christian faith.

As I recall from the nuns in catechism many years ago, Catholics are the only real Christians. The rest are all fakes.

When I was a child, I never heard from other Catholics that Protestants were no Christians.

How is it with Protestant children?
Do they hear in childhood, that Catholics are no Christians?

Later my ideas were a bit like this:

Both Catholics and Protestants are Christians, and we will all go to Heaven.
To the same Heaven.

Only that we Catholics have got slightly better seats.
And we may drink Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) from big Römer glasses.
The Protestants may drink Trollinger from smaller glasses, those Henkel glasses typical for Württemberg.
And we are all happy.

If you ever entered a Catholic church you would see dozens of depictions of Christ on the Cross. The Clergy all wear the Crucifix and Communion in a Catholic Mass is "the body of Christ" so why in the world would you say Catholics are not Christians?

You may ask that those Protestants who say so.

Most Christianity is just taken from other religions and a lot came from Jews.

Like the old testament was the Jews fake which was a vengeful god and full of Jewish based names. Then later christians made god much nicer when they redid it and called it the new testament.

Even the word Satan is a Jewish word which just means adversary or resistor. But christians turned resistor into the devil that resisted and was gods adversary.

They also took most holidays from pre existing pagans. Like in the spring pagans celebrated the rebirth of the earth with everything coming back to life and used bunnies and eggs as signs of fertility, so christians changed it to the rebirth of Jesus and kept the eggs and bunnies, easter also changes depending on the position of the moon and you can't get anymore pagan than that. Even April fool's day was christians mocking pagans for not changing their calendars to Jan 1st from April 1st so they call them April fool's. Christmas was them taking pagan traditions from saturnia which is the winter solstice, even taking the pagans yule log and tree decorating.

Christianity basically treated everyone else's religion like a salad bar. They took what they wanted and left the rest.

Course I was raised a Christian and it isn't so much about who did what or the stories or holidays. It's about being a decent moral person
