Right, so Israel can protest it at the UN if it disapproves of Hamas being in Qatar and work on getting a resolution. But it did not, it does not abide by international law. Instead it executed an act of terrorism against Qatar.A strictly pro forma statement in defense of national sovereignty, after the 911 attack on the US by other Muslim terrorists, the UNSC passed resolution 1373, which is still in effect:
UNSC Resolution 1373
Adopted unanimously under Chapter VII of the UN Charter on September 28, 2001, Resolution 1373 is binding on all member states. It explicitly requires nations to:
Resolution 1373 also created the Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) to monitor the implementation of the resolution by member states.
- Deny safe haven: All states must "deny safe haven to those who finance, plan, support, or commit terrorist acts".
- Criminalize terrorism: Require member states to criminalize the financing of terrorism and bring to justice any person involved in terrorist acts.
- Freeze assets: Immediately freeze the funds and other financial assets of persons and entities involved in terrorist acts.
- Prevent movement: Take steps to prevent the movement of terrorists by implementing effective border controls and other measures.
- Cooperate internationally: Cooperate in criminal investigations and in the exchange of information related to terrorist acts.
Under the cover of UNSC 1373, Obama violated Pakistan's sovereignty to kill bin Laden but then violated UNSC 1373 by persuading Qatar to provide safe haven for the Hamas leadership.
Israel's attempt to kill the Hamas criminals in Doha was no different from the US action to kill bin Laden in Pakistan.
Aside from idiots and bigots like yourself, the world has mostly forgotten about this and the Hamas criminals and their Qatari supporters are eager to resume talks about Hamas' demands to stop torturing and killing Israeli hostages.
Nothing in 1373 authorizes the use of unilateral military force against another state (other than in response to an armed attack by that state which is standard UN Charter).
It does say this in 1373
That states must combat terrorism in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations - that charter defines how states can behave and deciding to just one day detonate explosives in other countries because it feels like it, is not a behavior authorized by the UN Charter.
