I wonder why?

Perhaps because Afghanistan is a battle we needed to fight; Iraq isn't.

We damn well better fight it because the REAL enemy sure is. Besides, what does that have to do with the way journalists decide to report war casualties?

Why is it in Afghanistan the headlines are how many enemy troops we killed or terrorists and in Iraq it is always about how many we lost.

Headlines are what I am talking about and the content spin of the stories.

I wonder why you posed such a stupid question?

Its because only a relatively small amount of US troops have died in afghanistan.

And, according to google, there are thousands of news reports, describing insurgents being killed in iraq.

And the problem with reporting ALL casualities in both countries is ----?

If you guessed that the media likes to make Americans feel like we are losing, you win.
