Pussy Riot members were arrested for illicit acts performed on Cathedral of Christ the Savior. I am certain Putin is not losing his sleep over Pussy Riot and if anything, it is Putin who pardoned them.

From what I read, that was just a bullshit excuse. The penalty did not fir the crime.
