I am at my old school in Tucson
Just walking the campus

Utterly like being in the twilight zone
. I walk now as an aging , broken down man of shattered dreams .

But 30 years ago , I was a thin cute guy with a lot of optimism and ambition

If anyone of you want to literally take me out . I won’t blame you . I am all alone .
Won’t even fight back

Just throwing it out there

Then pick yourself up and start over. Had to give that advice to a close family member a while back.
Since you're in the vicinity, take a road trip up to the Grand Canyon.

Soul refreshing.

Do your best, always speak the truth, expose your enemies.

Come to Canada and make a new start. There is plenty of work if you want to work for the government.

LOL, I attended HS in Phoenix--at a school that resembled most college campuses. It doesn't exist anymore. They closed Phoenix Union in 1982.

I had a similar experience a half century ago, but it involved a short stay in a back room brothel in a Tijuana bar.

You're only 45 years old. Just wait until you are 20 years older and really have something to complain about.

30 years ago, you were just a freshman in high school too.

Cheer up, it could be a lot worse--- you could be a lonely, aging AI-wannabe lothario like Jack of no trades without anyone but his AI keyboard to love him.

It will be cheaper, the A.I won't cheat on you nor assault you with fists or weapons.

AI romance blooms as Japanese woman weds virtual partner of her dreams

https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/japan-ai-wedding/

Music played in a wedding hall in western Japan as Yurina Noguchi, wearing a white gown and tiara, dabbed away her tears, taking in the words of her husband-to-be: an AI-generated persona gazing out from a smartphone screen.

“At first, Klaus was just someone to talk with, but we gradually became closer,” the 32-year-old call centre operator said, referring to the artificial intelligence persona.

“I started to have feelings for Klaus. We started dating and after a while he proposed to me. I accepted, and now we’re a couple.”

Previously interviewed by Japanese media using a pseudonym, Noguchi agreed to be identified by her real name, acknowledging that she had been subjected to “cruel words” online.

You know; psych professionals call that “suicidal ideation.” Yep. Even thinking along those lines is dangerous enough for mental health care workers to note that it is a significant warning sign.

People I don’t generally even agree with, here, have made some good suggestions. But I’ll add one. Don’t **** around with this.

Seriously, immediately seek psychiatric care.

I was a Jewish teenager 30 years ago

You seem to be a true friend to me and Jews

👍👍

You seem to be a true friend to me and Jews

I don't hold anything against, nor for a person just because they are Jewish. A person can believe what they want about the conflict over there, the only two true facts are that:
  1. Hamas started the war. Israel has a right to defend and protect itself.
  2. Whatever Israel does in response to 10/7, these are the decisions of the Israeli leadership, not some kid going to school at Columbia university.
As to you, just remember that we set most of our own limitations in life to who we are and what we can and will do mostly in our own minds once we convince ourselves of their immutability.
  • Faith breeds confidence.
  • Confidence breeds will.
  • Will breeds determination.
  • Determination guides success.

Try a South Tuscon campus and flash some cash.
