This past week Senator Rand Paul blocked passage of the $40 billion aid package for Ukraine. How incredibly irresponsible and demonstrative of unwise leadership for the nation by this Senator at this time. Senator Paul provided for his reasons for this obstructionism that his oath of office isn't to any foreign nation but rather to the U.S. Constitution he tries to imply that the appropriation is excessive and unnecessary he wraps the U.S. flag around himself and says his oath of office is to the national security of the United States. Well based on your own standards Senator Paul you are a big fat failure because this appropriation couldn't be more vital to America's national security interests; by intention and goal Vladimir Putin is a one-hundred percent risk of pulling America into a war with Russia and it will be a major war with a shocking number of deaths granted it is not this step of Putin's plan but it is definitely a future step. Putin has made it quite clear that his goal is to reconstitute the old Soviet Union which means Russia conquering Poland and Germany an invasion of either country would trigger America entering into a war with Russia because of NATO treaty obligations. From 2008 to 2013 the Pentagon estimate of the cost to send and maintain a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan was $1.3 million per year, over the next decade the cost to send and maintain a U.S. soldier in a war in Europe would probably be at least approximately $2 million dollars a year and if you figure that if America fights a NATO war with Putin it is going to have to send at least 150,000 troops so you're talking $300 billion dollars a year just to maintain the force level in the war now when you pivot to the cost of the ammunition used and the cost to replace the weapons systems destroyed in the war you are talking trillions, plural, of dollars price tag for such a war. An expenditure of $100 to $150 billion to win the Ukrainian war and avoid the bigger war sounds like a bargain if you're in to using your brain!

This Ukrainian War holds the potential for mind boggling consequences for America from the standpoint of a future War with Russia. If the Ukrainian people lose this war that means Putin gets control of all Ukrainian agricultural wealth which the world needs, specifically the Middle East and Africa cannot live without, plus Ukrainian's mineral wealth which is sizable that means that Putin considering also Russia's noteworthy agricultural and mineral wealth will have the wherewithal to rebuild the Russian Army to the level that could competitively conquer Eastern Europe; of course, no one can say for sure whether it would succeed because it depends how well NATO fights. But also crucially important to consider is that this Russian Army will be ten times more effective than the one we see today and the one we see today can lay waste to wide swaths of territory at will. This point is so important the Russian Army learns from their mistakes in the Syrian War Russian pilots initially sucked at conducting bombing runs but over time they became quite good. In this war, the Russian army sucked at coordinating its forces on offensives specifically around Kyiv but in the later Battle of the Donbas specifically around Izyum the Russian Army has dramatically improved their coordination amongst units on offensives. One would have to be an incompetent military expert not to identify all the shortcomings of the Russian military during this War and again you can be assured that Vladimir Putin will have these failures remedied for the next war. The list would include the Russians relied on rail infrastructure for logistics that is too maintain supply lines instead of truck capacity; their coordination between different types of units on offensives is weak, their battlefield communications ability is unreliable, they don't have a non-commissioned officer corps which prevents them from having front line units having the leadership to take initiative to accomplish battlefield goals, they use conscripts as opposed to professional soldiers as front line combat soldiers who are ineffective, the Russian military industrial complex is not self reliant they rely on imports which during a war your enemies can shut down such supply chains, etc..

On the other hand if the Ukrainian people win this war not only will the Kremlin miss out on an enormous amount of wealth to rebuild its Army. The Ukrainian people are going to make it their top priority to build a military and security apparatus to stop any future invasion of their country by the Russian Army, they will have the wealth to do so and most importantly they will have the allies to sell them the weapons and technology to accomplish this goal. The Ukrainian people have seen a monster in Vladimir Putin, a being that has no conscience no scruples about taking innocent peoples lives to accomplish a political or strategic goal so one can be assured that the Ukrainian people will make an outstanding effort to stop this Russian monster from significantly hurting their nation again. The stakes could not be bigger for the Free World (which includes the United States Senator Paul) and its welfare and well being in the Ukrainian/Russian war and its outcome.

Senator Rand Paul is not the only leader in our nation whose behavior is wrong and shameful about aiding Ukraine. Republican Senator Bill Hagerty of Tennessee thinks just like Senator Paul, he was on Maria Bartiromo show today saying he is going to vote "no" on the bill saying we have so many other problems as a country we need to be focusing on; he ignored the national security ramifications of this Ukrainian conflict for the United States acting like a real partisan opportunist. I bet you if the Republicans take control of Congress this November and then want to dramatically increase the defense budget his vote will be a big "yes" he will be clamoring about the security needs of America makes such spending necessary. This opportunism isn't only limited to politicians, right-wing talk radio host Mike Gallagher exhibited the same deplorable behavior! This past Friday on his show he is singing the praises to the optimum degree for Senator Rand Paul and his opposition to the Ukraine aid bill. Gallagher continually hammered on this problem and that problem in the nation the Democrats aren't addressing but he completely ignored the national security ramifications for America if the Ukrainian people lose this war. This is par for the course for a lot of these right wing radio hosts they don't responsibly discuss issues they just wind people up, foment public discontent and anger with their comments the majority of the time not caring about the rightful merits and morality of what they are saying. Then these right wing hosts become taken back and want to wash their hands of any culpability when their listeners call in and advocate taking the government back by force saying things like we should grab our guns and go out onto the street and rectify things. When will you guys ever learn when you talk like irresponsible citizens and ignoramuses on the radio you cause some of your listeners to follow you and act like you, then the country ends up with a mess!

Goodness, another America hating puke who want us to help foreigners while we are hurting. Why not aid Americans first, commie?

They forgot to give him a cut is all; he learned from his Daddy 'libertarians' are particularly stupid hypocrites and he can make millions off of pretending to be one while being one of the top porksters in Congress at the same time.
IDK that. You have a source or is this a monkey throwing shit type thing?

He kept the wealth of his constituents out of the hands of the federal government and left in his state where it belonged. The feds would have just stolen it and redistributed it to their pet peeve special interests.

Every penny should be earmarked.

Every single penny...

If Republican's take majority, they will still send money to Ukraine. They know the same thing you know, they just want to play the "opposition" card and prey on their ignorant base.

All Ds in congress support escalating the war with Russia, by voting for old Joe’s funding the war machine with even more of our money.

Even if you support flooding Ukraine with endless US money and weapons, the amounts are staggering, the risks of escalation severe. Shouldn't there at least be oversight?

lol.

If Trump was still in office and suggested such a thing you’d have democrats losing their fucking minds.

If Trump were in office and TWICE the president Biden is, they'd still be losing their minds! Proof positive that actual accomplishment means nothing to a prog, it is all about appearances only and saying the right PC things no matter WHAT you really do.
