kinda reminds me of Facebook, when people post about 20 stupid sayings with pictures in a row and you just blow past them cause it's like overload!

As with old people at the store I let them go ahead of me or patiently wait while they block the entire aisle with their cart or while retrieving something from a shelf. Gotta make allowances for older folk.

True, it's hard for the cashier to be rude.

But I have seen cashiers perpetuate the conversation. I think they will do it all the more if they see you are angry, just for spite....
