The daily bath or shower, then, is terrible for the environment and our bank balances. That’s one reason I have reverted to a weekly shower, with a daily sink-wash that includes my underarms and privates. But there are health consequences too. I first became aware of these when I was a touring ballet dancer and met a friend whose skin had been severely damaged by excessive use of soap products. He was condemned to treat himself with medical creams for the rest of his life

Oh yes.......
Just wash the pits, tits and naughty bits

I shower almost every day but I find that soap and shampoo are unnecessary

A rough washcloth is all that's needed to scrub the skin clean
And I just use my fingers to vigorously scrub my scalp

5 Benefits of Showering Less

Better for Your Skin (And Overall Health)

I’ve read from a number of specialists that showering less often is better for your skin. There are a number of factors involved.

First, there’s the matter of bacteria. Just like we’re learning more and more about good bacteria in our intestinal tracts, we’re discovering the benefits of good bacteria on our skin. John Oxford, Professor of Virology at Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, argues that “A vigorous daily shower would disturb the natural bug flora of the skin as well as skin oils.” (source). As University of California dermatology chief Dr. Richard Gallo explains, “Good bacteria are educating your own skin cells to make your own antibiotics . . . They produce their own antibiotics that kills off bad bacteria” (source). In other words, if you get rid of the good bacteria, you interfere with one of your body’s simplest defenses against germs.

Dry Skin Brushing; 7 Amazing Benefits

Dry Skin Brushing: 7 Key Benefits

Your skin is a complex system made up of nerves, glands, and cell layers that, when healthy, serves as a buffer that helps protect your body from extreme temperatures and chemicals.

I bought a skin brush once and wanted to stimulate my skin with it for 5 minutes, but I couldn't quite get to it. lol

You have to wash the sweat ( which is bacteria ) off of your body, especially in the armpit, feet and groin area.

You have to wash the dead skin cells off of your body.

You have to wash the dirt and grime off of your body.

Any small mites or bugs that may be on your body, in your hair & scalp, in your armpit or groin area needs to be rid of. In the summer time, a shower ( with soap ) helps clean and disinfect mite - spider - tick and bug bites.

To not wash your body is increasing your chances of illness and/or disease.

Showering helps keep the body healthy and free from disease and illnesses.

Yes, the question is how often and also, are there other ways to accomplish those things interim?

I have to shower before interacting with the public, or I smell like straight weed :-\

Poor personal hygiene is not only unhealthy to the lazy fuck who won't keep themselves clean, it is also a health hazard to the public at large.

Make-up is a health hazard too.

5 Ways Your Workout Is Killing Your Skin

Quick fix: This seems like a no-brainer, but don't act like you've always followed this advice: Don't wear makeup to the gym, and cleanse with a gentle wipe after your workout. "Don't let oil, dirt, and sweat sit on your skin. Use wipes like Dickinson's Witch Hazel Towelettes orSimple Micellar Wipes if you can't take a shower," he says.
