The Ottomans did invite the Jews the resettle in Israel about 600 years ago. That is a fact.
Following the 1492 expulsion, Ottoman Sultan Bayezid II officially invited Sephardic Jews to settle anywhere in his empire, including the Levant
Okay, except we aren't talking about the Sephardic Jews, (most of whom didn't settle in Palestine, they settled in NOrth Africa.)
We are talking about the Ashkenazi Jews from Central Europe who saw Palestine as being ripe for Colonization.
Zionism is a Colonial Movement, but most of the world realizes that's kind of unacceptable now.
