I say there are too many posts at this forum

Sorry to be so critical (not really sorry) but it looks to me (& has for a long time) like people here (and other forums) just think of something off the top of their head and post their thoughts/feelings--sometimes w/o really thinking much about what they're saying or how important it may or may not be. Some topics/threads have to do with very important issues & concerns, yet most people seem to skim through all the threads and posts, slap an icon here and there, and then go about posting yet another thread about... Well, I'd say at least 50% of threads here are not really about compelling issues.. These are just my own (you may say) subjective perceptions, but as they say, there are likely plenty of others thinking the same thing...

I'm not going to name names (yet) but it is very annoying. It seems narcissism is quite prevalent these days... had one (or more?) narcissists in my family, don't need any more.

There are already interesting topics brought up galore, but people are always just bent, it seems, on voicing THEIR opinions/thoughts on... well, topics that frankly bore me

and if they bore me, it's quite likely they bore others. If you look carefully, you can find plenty of threads on the topics you impulsively bring up anyway...
STFU, Donny!

I don't make many threads. Just a handful in the years I've been here.

I didn't make one over the whole brisket I've cured to make corned beef for this spring. Or the English muffins I'll bake in the morning that I made from scratch sourdough.

What it is....

This current President is moving and acting at a lightning pace. Faster than any past president in my memory with absolute transparency.

The headlines just keep coming.

And the Democrat Party is making the headlines sensational by whining the entire time.

But....considering the circumstances....Trump needed to.

Wow, home made corned beef!!!! I don't know about the sour dough from scratch though--did you make the starter? LOL, JK, sounds good.

wow, a post that actually talks about something important.

Yeh, I'd like to see a repeat of the Charlie Kirk "rant" that was on Watters some days ago

He was talking about how, as soon as the dims start to react (over-react) to one of Trump's moves, Trump does something else and they have to focus on that, too. Then another EO is issued and etc.. LOL

It was comical the way Kirk explained it.. You may find it on Fox.. who knows?

I don't have time to read, much less respond to every thread posted. I intentionally ignore those threads that are not interesting to me or are started by trolls so I know what the OP probably is and I won't want to participate. Saves so much time.

Threads that aren't interesting to much of anybody usually die a quick death here because they are quickly out of sight and forgotten.

True enough. I kind of regret posting this thread because at this time it kind of hints at censorship, which I despise. The main point I was trying to make is that people... well, for one, they waste a lot of time. I am guilty of this but am trying to change. Does Jesus really want us spending a lot of time talking about really unimportant things (can't think of an example off the top of my head but I'm sure you've seen a lot of... I don't know... petty kinds of posts... ). It was more an issue of wasting time than anything else.. wasting one's own time and that of others..

Most people end up in Hell, says Jesus (Mt 7, Lk 13) so yeh, we'd best be about focusing on what is most important, like saving people from Hell....

It's all about padding their numbers. Look under your avatar.

However, as many have said before, you don't have to read them.

I'm not sure how much attention Jesus is paying to post on USMB actually :). And none of us can save anybody from hell in my opinion as that is Jesus' prerogative. All we can do is arrange a meeting when we have the opportunity to do that.

But we human beings are usually political people and if everything we do reflects our Christian witness, what better way to do that than to exercise it in the sphere of political discourse?

I do my best to be meticulously honest and not engage in malicious propaganda and disinformation. I do not unfairly or dishonestly or maliciously malign political people or other USMB members. In that way I can be a Christian witness as well as test my opinions and arguments and make sure I can defend them.

Anything I cannot defend with logic, reason, credible sources I know I have wrong and need to discard.

It is something I enjoy doing, I try hard to do no harm, and it is a relief valve for me at times. I sometimes pray for the right words so as not to lead anyone astray. In spite of that, I know I'm a fallible human and will sometimes get it wrong. But I've never had any sense that Jesus has a problem with me doing this.

But what about Free Speech!!!

Just kidding, blow it out yer ass and have fun, suckas
