CDZ I Just Retired From Civil Service With 34 Years Of Combined Federal Service

Congratulations and enjoy a long and healthy retirement. I know it's not always a gravy train. I did around 5 years as a WG 10 mechanic for the feds in the late 1960's after my Navy hitch. I kick myself sometimes for not sticking it out as a career for the steady paychecks and medical coverage alone.

The best part is to take your pension and go back to work at hopefully the same pay

I was rehired in almost the same job as a contractor and almost doubled my salary

I had an amazing career, travelled the country and worked on equipment that has saved thousands of lives.
