I understand your angst but having spent a lot of time in UK politics, the candidates of each party must represent the base, are the base of both parties citizens of your great country, surely they are not as thick as the floating voter or the great unwashed as I prefer to call them.

Why has an independent no arisen from the ashes to represent those who feel disenfranchised.

You also have to have a meaningful opposition to ensure a good government.
