I'm hoping the link works even if you don't subscribe to the NYT. It's a panoramic video of the grotesquely, golden adorned Oval Office. If it doesn't this one should.

Yet another part of the WH and it's history trump has no respect for, along with the East Wing.

I've seen still pictures of the room but you can't fully appreciate the manner in which Don has tried to make it in to the Palace at Versailles until you've seen the video.

I see it as a lurid, physical manifestation of there being no check on his impulse to use the power bestowed on him to achieve his own ends. As is the case with the vindictive prosecutions of Comey and James, illegally sending troops in to US cities under false pretenses, denying due process to deportees, and so on.

The thing that gave trump the margin of victory over Harris was voter frustration with inflation. On top of getting none of the promised relief they got more than they bargained for. And not in a good way.

the margin was your party had no counter ideas all they had was trump is this or that.....there is a reason your party has lower ratings than trump...

As embarrassingly gaudy and tacky as it is for many of us, I think there are many Americans who think it's really cool.

He makes them "feel" rich and strong. I'm not sure how, but he does. They're living their lives vicariously through him. Even as he extracts great wealth from them for himself, his kids and his friends. Right out in the open.

A group psychology study for the ages, that's for sure.

You guys built another White House for Joe in the bowels of the building.

I think the president, any president should decorate how they see fit…Trump likes the color gold

Xiden and the dems like cocaine in the White House

This is why the economy and world are better off today then during the cocaine admin of the dems

The room looks like a parody of itself. A reflection of Don's unfitness for the office in that it's a display of the kinds of things he spends his time on. Like his obsession with gold. Like remodeling the Lincoln bathroom. If you'll pardon the pun, who gives a shit?

We have problems to solve (many of trump's making) and instead of a statesman intent on solving them we have a huckster real estate salesman/conman bragging about the kind of marble used in a renovation.

We have problems to solve, yet you’re here creating threads about how the Oval Office is decorated? There is an obsession and I can’t tell if your post is intentionally suppose to be ironic or are you too dumb to realize that it is

President redecorated the Oval Office?

Impeach him.

let me say what you are not allowed to say....We have problems to solve many of bidens and trump's making.....

We should solve them.
That's a difficult task with the regime making things worse with the use of EO's and proclamations. Eschewing the normal legislative process because Don is smart enough to know he doesn't have enough R support to pass bills in pursuit of his reckless, unpopular agenda.

Our personal problems transcend our national problems. We should first solve our personal problems. That will put our national problems into perspective.
