Today I got a flat tire on my way to work. I dropped my car off at the shop next door to where I work and asked them to fix it.
At 9:30, the shop manager called me and gave me the estimate for the repair.
Fix tire $15
Replace both axles $1200
Replace transmission $1850
Being a conservative, I declined the portions that didn't really need fixing and paid the $15 for the tire repair.
Flat tire = People
Axle = Health insurance
Transmission = Medical care
The way our government is trying to revamp our entire health care system because we have a few minor problems would be exactly like your mechanic replacing the axles and transmission on your car because you have a flat tire.
