I had a biopsy yesterday...

I'll pray for you.

Any God you especially want me to petition with prayer, or shall I just do my usual and throw a virgin into the volcano?

I was gonna give you a rep until you got to the volcano part.

Pagan.

That is PRECISELY why I GAVE him a rep.

Even though I could throw brick out of a window and hit a better man than you, I appreciate the vote of confidence, George.

FYI I haven't been notified of the REP.

I think somebody's cooking the books.

I had three issues when I went to the specialist. Two of them were easily remediable. The other one involved having a biopsy done.

I just changed the bandage on the area of the biopsy.

:eusa_whistle:

Congrats on changing your bandage. Didn't know you had it in you.

Sorry you had to have a biposy (wait, maybe I'm not)....that's life I suppose.

Tissues all around.....

Why the "whistle" smiley at the end of the OP?

When I read that someone has had a "biopsy," I usually think of a test for cancer.

I hope that's not it.

I do think Dante is an ass, but I wouldn't wish illness on him.

If it's just Dante pulling the collective leg of his fellow USMB members, then I still hope he gets better. For, in the latter event, he's clearly ill.

The life of the physical body is like a used car...every time I go in for a check up, I get bad news.

I'm actually tougher than most when it comes to these issues (experience) and I have a very high tolerance for pain, and blood and guts, or at least I used to. The older I get,,,

any way, it was for a skin biopsy. gave blood today (lots of tubes), but had a very difficult time telling the people at the clinic how to run the show. you'd think they'd appreciate my unsolicited advice.:eusa_whistle:

some pretty stupid people work in the medical beaurocracy.
if mean people suck, stupid people are here to make hell on earth.

speaking out feeling like a used car:
I'm going to UCLA soon for an orthopedic surgery consult. We'll see how they compare to Harvard teaching hospitals. :eusa_whistle:

thanks for all the kind words. I don't think I'm in any danger of going anywhere soon, and I knew that before I posted this thread. I just thought I'd do a humanity check.

you all passed.

now talk about disappointments.

Colo-rectal cancer scare?

Farrah Fawcett had anal cancer.

You ARE an asshole, Dainty. So if you had a mild highly treatable lesion of skin cancer on the tip of your finger, it would still be, by definition, a form of anal cancer.

Still and all, I wish you only good news on any lab results.

Be well.

Post less often, but be well.

skin biopsy. the colonoscopy is a regularly scheduled/missed by two years appointment.

people should keep those ones.

just sayin'

Well I seriously hope for good results Dante. But if not, when they catch skin cancer early, it is almost always curable with a minimum of fuss and bother. And you're right about the colonoscopy too, though I've resisted having that procedure for a very long time now.

Seems like the doctors don't stay long enough for the check ups to do me much good. When you have a new doctor every two years, they have no idea what normal is. Got a big birthday next year, so I'll probably go get an oil change and tire rotation.
