I am supporting Tulsi Gabbard for president

She'd make Trump look like a classroom dunce. She certainly carries herself better. Look what she did to Hariis and all she needed was thirty seconds. She's the only Democrat that can beat Trump.

I haven't heard anyone say they like her because of her looks, what a ridiculous way to vote. I think the reason independents and some republicans like her is because she's not a warmonger, she's against the corrupt interventionist wars based on lies. Also because she SEEMS to be a decent person which is very rare among politicians. I disagree with her on a lot of things, but I agree with her on at least 2 things...foreign policy, and she's a vegan. :D

She's right on the TPP, too.

Basically the Democrat party is giving her the same treatment Ron got from the Republican party and media in the 08 and 12 runs. You remember how all of that went down. I know you do.

Yep, exactly. If she's against the establishment trade policies, then it seems to me that she's probably not a globalist fraud like most of the others. I still wouldn't vote for her, but to me the most important thing in a candidate FIRST (before I would even consider voting for them) is that they are not in the "club" of subversive globalist crooks.

I am sorry Natural Citizen, but NOBODY can beat the President!

He is totally and absolutely the best! America knows that :2up: Bless President Trump

Partially agree. Idk if she would make him look like a “dunce” but she looks more like a Republican than a Democrat to me.

But shes wrong on so many issues. I've listed her positions in other threads.

There is NO REASON any "conservative" would even consider voting for her over Donald Trump.
not only that, the DNC can and will change convention rules, the same as the Republicans do, no matter how hard you work to meet the threshold.

It doesn't matter. None of the legislation will get passed anyway. Nothing gets done in Washington.

The goal is and should always be to change the course of history. Not just getting elected.

It's a muppet show with the same faces being paraded around on television.

Why do they like her? Well because of her military background and because she's pretty
Yep. That's just how shallow a few "conservatives" can be.

She DOES at least appear sane compared to the rest. I really dont understand why shes not leading among the Dems. She is their best chance.

I might get tarred and feathered for saying this, but I can't vote for Trump, so if there isn't a presidential candidate I can support, I won't vote for any of them. I believe people should vote their conscience, not be manipulated into voting against the other candidate, which is what most people do every 4 years.

What i mean is that Tump can get away with acting the way he does in debate because the other candidates are equally as circus-like. They all lack any critical substance. So everyone gets a laugh thanks to Trump and he wins out for the night.

You can't do that to someone as conservative in her presence as Gabbard. She won't respond to it. And he'll look like a clown if he tries. She simply carries herself better. He'd look foolish trying. She also tends to redirect discussion by reframing the nonsensical questions the clowns in the media are asking as debate moderators. Which nopbody else does. They just let the pundits basically define and narrate discussion to the point it's just entertainment.

Of course, he'll win again in the 2020. He's not going to have an adult challenger.

Hopefully I can get out of the country for good before the 2024. It's gonna get crazy, for sure. That's when the trouble is going to come to stay. The dollar is basically toast. Society is in unrest. No serious discussion is being had on the issues. It's a free for all at a time when the police state is starting to flex again, and with the praise and consent of the people, no less..

4 Reasons Tulsi Gabbard Could Shock the Media, Party Establishment - IVN.us

th

1. She served her country in the armed forces
The percentage of congressional representatives with military experience has declined steadily since the early 1970s, and today, less than 18% has military experience. Gabbard served as a Major in the Army National Guard and saw two tours overseas. As it stands today, she’s the only announced candidate with military experience whose held congressional office. Her unique record of service, both as a veteran and representative, should help insulate her from ad hominem attacks that would be lethal to any other candidate.

2. She challenges her own party
Gabbard was launched into the national conversation in 2016 when she resigned from the DNC in protest and criticized the party’s anti-democratic policies. The move marked her clearly outside the norm in terms of party politics, but it also won her widespread notoriety as someone who’s willing to challenge political orthodoxy.

4. She can admit to her mistakes
Gabbard’s unique brand of Aloha politics enables her to admit her mistakes, which no politician is immune from. It didn’t take long for her statements on gay marriage and association with her father’s organization, the Alliance for Traditional Marriage, from the early 2000’s to surface.

The 2020 Democrats: Tulsi Gabbard

Political Positions

  • Healthcare: Gabbard supports socialist healthcare in order to cover the 27 million Americans not insured under the Affordable Care Act, according to her website. She wants the government talk with pharmaceutical companies about lowering drug prices.
  • Environment: Gabbard believes in finding solutions to climate change, and she is opposed to the Keystone Pipeline.
  • Economy: Gabbard is against the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. She said that the deal, “would reduce restrictions on foreign corporations operating within the U.S., limit our ability to protect our environment, and create more incentives for U.S. businesses to outsource investments and jobs overseas to countries with lower labor costs and standards.” She wants to adjust tax policies to support the growth of small business, punish corporations for outsourcing jobs overseas, and encourage green energy businesses to set up shop in the U.S.
  • Affordable Housing: According to Gabbard, Hawaii has the highest living costs in the nation. She blames the rich for building and selling expensive homes, which don’t end up getting filled and waste space. Homelessness increased by 46 percent in two years. Gabbard said she wants to provide affordable housing, prevent houses from being “flipped and sold for profit,” and increase “flexibility to empower state and local housing agencies, as well as private owners/developers, to develop new housing units, and creating new housing options in areas where housing vouchers are difficult to use.”
  • Gun Control: Gabbard pushed for more gun control in her political career, calling for the ban of what she calls military assault weapons and supporting “comprehensive pre-purchase background checks.”
  • Abortion: On Nov 2013, Gabbard co-sponsored the Women's Health Protection Act, which sought to make certain restrictions on abortion practices illegal.
I wouldn’t mind if she was president. She’s quite intelligent. She isn’t as progressive as I would like so I prefer Bernie, but I would definitely take her over Biden.

The Republicans won't. The Democrats are the power grabbers.

Well. Legislation is freely availablke to read. And there is a lot of it.

No place does it say that she isn't still running.

She won't be debating because she does not have enough support

So she can run with two broken legs if she chooses

Grow up

Where will you go?

Not sure yet. There's a lot of nice places in the world, though. Cleaner, quieter, better climates. Maybe a cottage in Switzerland. I probably have over a quarter million dollars worth of fine swiss watches anyway, one of my main hobbies is restoring them. I'd fit in well in Switzerland. I might even open shop.

That is why your party is so divided. Progressive is not where the country wants to be. Most are in the middle.

Plenty of people want progressivism, but they are too timid to not support Biden because he feels like a safe choice as the democrat nominee to beat Trump. I don’t blame them, but man is it unfortunate

I don't even like guns, Skye. I'm more prone to ouright beating someone to death if they were to physically threaten my life in some way. The only beneficial reason to arm would be to defend your sovereignty but the government is too powerful in America now, they're taking our guns or trying to make it illegal to own certain ones while they fully stock themselves with every kind of military weapon possible patrolling the citizens of the nation. You can't win. Especially with all of the hero worship going on. That just empowers them more.
