Well, we elected Barack Obama, twice. While racism still exists in this country, a black person has already been elected, so that charge is false. Misogyny is another matter, we have females in Congress and sitting on the Supreme Court, so my guess is we haven't seen a female presidential candidate who is electable yet. Not a lot of decent male candidates either though, IMHO. In either party.
