How is Reality Winner different from Chelsea Manning, who he supported and leaked a lot more?

I don’t see how Assange could consider himself a member of “an upper class elite,” since he came from a poor background and a broken family. Assange was a prodigy who founded WikiLeaks to expose the secrets of genuine political, business and Security State elites.

As for not supporting or sufficiently “leaking” Reality Winner’s whistleblower documents, that is a bit preposterous. When Reality Winner was arrested in 2017, Assange was already trapped in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, fighting for his life and freedom, his every moved spied on. It was The Intercept that circulated Winner’s documents, and it did so in a sloppy manner, unintentionally leading the NSA to her.

It takes a serious organization with sophisticated encryption systems and loads of editorial savvy to avoid making fatal mistakes. Of course it would be ideal if groups like WikiLeaks had real protection, refuge, and support for their crucial work.
