Why would we need to waste the money. Biden was ordered to go to the Ukraine and get rid of the do-nothing prosecutor, who was in the pay of the Russian government, out of office. NATO, the IMF, and the EU wanted assurances that the corrupt, pro-Russian members of the Kiev government, we gone, before they would give aid to the Ukraine, or consider their membership in NATO and the EU.

This was done very publically, and Biden was applauded around the world when it was done.
