Hundreds quarantined in South Carolina measles outbreak

At least 254 people are in quarantine in South Carolina after the state confirmed more than two dozen new cases of measles over the weekend, according to local health officials.

As of Tuesday, the South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) reported 27 new cases of the highly contagious disease since Friday, bringing the total number related to an outbreak in the Upstate region to 111. The vast majority of reported cases of the virus were in unvaccinated children.

The DPH confirmed that, of the 111 cases, 105 are unvaccinated and one is vaccinated. Another three are partially vaccinated — having received one of the recommended two-dose MMR sequence — while the vaccination status of two people with the disease is unknown.

The cases are also confirmed mostly in children: 75 of the cases are in children ages 5-17; 20 cases are in children under 5; and only 10 cases are in adults. Another six cases are in minors whose ages are undisclosed.

Most of the new cases, 16, come from people who previously reported exposure at the Way of Truth Church in Inman, S.C.

RFK has spoken out against vaccines and the measles, going back to 2005, and it was lapped up, by the right and other nut balls. Measles had been virtually eliminated by vaccination by the year 2000, but with the anti-vax movement and stupid unrestricted immigration from countries where it was not wiped out, of course, it is back. If you do not vaccinate, there will be no protection, and if you invite the disease back in, it will come.

Joe Biden imported unvaxxed illegals by the millions. You voted for that.

At the height of Covid, the border was wide open and the Biden regime wasn't even testing illegals, much less vaccinating them. You voted for that.

The Biden regime told us that Covid doesn't spread at "protests" and riots, it spreads in churches and on the beach. You voted for that.

I did not vote for open borders, and spoke out against it here, from the day after he announced it. Don't simply be a partisan troll.

If you voted for Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or Kamala Harris (and you voted for all three), you voted for open borders.

So, your point is No vaccinations (proven to virtually wipe it out) is fine. People, getting Measles is fine, no matter how many kids harmed, if you can blame Biden?
I disagree. But, I will go along, if you tell me what to do about the measles. Obviously, if the kids had been vaccinated, the vast majority would not have contracted the disease, no matter who came in, with Joe's unrestricted mass immigration. If it is true, measles can be fatal, with an estimated 1 to 3 out of every 1,000 unvaccinated children who contract the disease dying from complications. Additionally, measles can cause lasting damage to the immune system, leading to increased vulnerability to other infections and, in rare cases, severe neurological conditions years after the initial infection. Wikipedia nfid.org , is blowing it off, doing nothing, the right answer, or should more steps be taken to put down the false impact of the RFK's anti-vax support messaging and go back to requiring vaccination against communicable diseases.

My theory, is Joe is gone, but RFK's still here, along with the bolstered (by his messaging) of the anti-vax crowd. Will the 1 out of 3 dead kids (including 1 out of 3 born to MAGA parents, as it does not differentiate based on political party of the parents), really be benefitted more by MAGA being able to simply continue to decry Joe, rather than speak ill of Trump's Health and Human Services Secretary, and go back to promoting vaccination as the only thing in the history of the planet, proven to reduce or wipe out a disease? Or should we give a shit, as you and I will have no more kids, just as long as we can ring our hands over the one term president, gone from office, primarily due to Alzheimer or dementia?

Who doesnt vax their kids for measles? How dumb are people?
