Governor DeSantis has ordered flags across the Tremendous State of Florida to be flown at half staff today in honor of the Hulkster, who was a long time resident in Clearwater.

Will the governor of California and the mayor of LA follow suit? Hogan originally came from Venice Beach, California after all, and put them on the map.

He was definitely the biggest wrestler of my time. Wasn't my favourite, but he was the leader of everyone as far as I could see. There was even a cartoon in the 1980s with him as the leader, I remember the cheesy "Hulk, Hulk" song that was played in the intro.

Some people say Ric Flair, Andre the Giant, but Hogan to me was the guy who shot the WWF into the stratosphere just when Vince was going after all the territories nationally.

RIP

God bless the Hulkster's family in their time of loss.
He was a helluva dude.

I find it odd when flags are flown at half-staff for celebs. It detracts from the solemnity of the symbol, IMO. That's in no way a dig against Hulk Hogan, I just don't think there's a good reason for the flags to be half-staff for him. DeSantis could honor him in another way.

There are no august federal holidays. Let's make the First friday in August a paid day off.

That tracks considering what he's infamous for and what Florida is reveling in.

America is gonna America.

People have largely forgive Hogan for his infamous betrayal at 1996's Bash at the Beach, when he turned against the fans and proclaimed the New World Order.
